Preview: Sheffield Steelers vs Cardiff Devils

After a superb 5-1 victory over Coventry Blaze last time out, the Devils travel away to Sheffield in the hope of a four point weekend.

In the league the Devils have had a mixed start with a 5-2 win and a 6-3 loss to the Glasgow Clan.

It’s been a fairly similar start for the Sheffield Steelers as well, having played 5 league games, they have won 3 and lost 2.

The last time these two sides met was in the EIHL Quarter Finals last season. The Devils won the game 7-3 which resulted in them advancing to the EIHL Play-off weekend which they won.

Sheffield have acquired some heavy duty players with the likes of Marc-Olivier Vallerand and Thomas Duba joining the ranks.

Key Players

Sheffield Steelers: Marc-Olivier Vallerand, 32 goals in 35 goals in his last campaign, the serial goalscorer is sure to try and find the net.

Cardiff Devils: Sam Jardine, the Devils need a big defenceman to keep the Steelers quiet. Jardine is that man.
