Match Preview: Graz 99ers vs Cardiff Devils

Cardiff Devils will not only look to get back to winning ways against Graz 99ersgbut have their most successful Champions Hockey League campaign ever.

Cardiff Devils lost 5-2 in their last game out to Mountfield HK. Cardiff were always going to be up against it away from home and it showed in the game.

One thing you couldn’t fault was the effort from the team. Two goals late on in the game from Bryce Reddick and a first ever goal in Devils colours for Matias Sointu gave the Devils something to be happy about.

It was a fairly similar fate for the Graz 99ers who lost 5-1 to champions Frolunda Indians. Dwight King the only goalscorer for Graz.

The Devils recorderd a 4-3 overtime over Graz 99ers with Ben Bowns impressively saving all 7 shots he faced in the shootout.

The Devils currently occupy second place in the group whilst Graz sit bottom. However, only 2 points separate them.

Key Players

Graz 99ers: Colton Yellow Horn, has a real eye for a pass and has set up 4 goals already this campaign. The Devils will want to keep the puck away from him.

Cardiff Devils: Charles Linglet, is often on the ice when the Devils play well and hs already picked up 4 points in three games, can he add to that tally?
