Report: Fife Flyers 2-5 Cardiff Devils

The Cardiff Devils returned to winning ways in the league after defeating the Fife Flyers 5-2 away from home.

The Cardiff Devils opened the scoring early into the first period through Charles Linglet. Stephen Dixon and Joey Haddad were awarded the assists.

Mid-way through the period Matt Pope capitalised on the power play when he doubled the score for the Devils. Gleason Fournier and Mike McNamee had the assists that time around.

First Period: Fife Flyers 0-2 Cardiff Devils

Fife started the second period perfectly as Carlo Finucci reduced the deficit down to one after he was set up by Mike Cazzola.

Before the Devils could regroup, they found themselves level after Mike Cazzola found the back of the net. Tim Crowder the ex-Devil had the lone assist.

Second Period: Fife Flyers 2-2 Cardiff Devils

The Devils bounced back in the third with another power play goal. The man in form Joey Haddad fired a lethal slapshot into the back of the net after he was set up by Sean McMonagle and Joey Martin.

Gleason Fournier gave the Devils a two-goal cushion after his quick release of a wrist shot caught out Adam Morrison. Matthew Myers had the lone assist.

Mike McNamee added salt to the wounds with a breakaway goal with a minute left on the clock. Bryce Reddick picked up the assist.
